Johannes Kepler University Linz
The research focus Electronics and Information Technology at JKU refers to the hardware-oriented part of information technology and focuses on the design, implementation and operation of independent and embedded information processing systems.
The following institutes at JKU support the research focus Electronics and Information Technology and participate in ECSEL: Institute for Microelectronics and Microsensors, Institute of Communications Engineering and RF-Systems, Institute of Signal Processing, Institute for Integrated Circuits. We are performing fundamental and applied research at device and system level and feature lab facilities in the areas of microsensors, fluidics, electronics, IC testing, RF and signal processing.
Role and Key Contribution
- Sensors and sensor systems, microsystems, microfluidics, sensor readout electronics
- Wireless communications, architectures and signal processing for wireless transceivers, radar systems (integrated RF circuits, signal processing, industrial radar sensors and radar-based local positioning systems and sensor fusion), wireless sensor networks
